Mirrors are a fascinating literal and metaphorical tool for reflection. I’ve used fabricated headpieces in most of my photography exploration of what it means for an individual to be connected or disconnected from an environment, both visually and psychologically.
As I am navigating adulthood and trying to find agency in my identity, I deeply admire those who actively work to transform painful experiences (whether personal or inherited) into strength, compassion, and love. I hope to do the same.
